5th National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology

SBIT, Sonepat organized two days 5th IEEE National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology,  ETET-2016 in the campus on 5-6 February 2016. The Conference was organized in association with IEEE Student Branch under Delhi Section in collaboration with CSI (Computer Society of India) Student Branch and ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Student Branch.

The aim of Conference was to provide an excellent platform for students and academicians to know, exchange new ideas, discuss new developments and finally look at the challenges ahead.

The 5th National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology provided a common platform for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding area of research and development. All the accepted papers for the conference have been published in SBIT Journal of Science and Technology.

In the Conference, some of the great challenges were identified with the new growth platform strategic innovation and leveraging diversity in the exclusive events in technology. Friendly sphere gave insights on ways to create more awareness on learning spirit to the aspired students of engineering.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V. K Panchal, Director - SBIT who revealed the mission and scope of the conference.

Dr. Mayank Dwivedi , Head – Defence Technology Commission Secretariat, DRDO who was Chief Guest for the inaugural session spoke about the nanotechnology and prominently talked about the thrust areas of learning and encouraged the students.

Dr. V. R Singh, Secretary IEEE India Council, Fellow – IEEE who was the Guest of Honor for the session said that aspirations without quality leads to no way. Hence the students need commitment, courage, character and concentration on projects beneficial to the society.

The two day technical parody had various  tracks for ECE, CSE, ME, Applied Sciences. Numerous workshops, tutorials and guest lecturers were delivered by various well-read professionals from various renowned institutions across the nation. Some of the distinguished speakers included Dr. Rajinder Kumar Soni, Professor – ME Department, DCRUST; Dr. Arvind Rajput, Assistant Professor – ME Department, Shiv Nadar University; Dr. S Indu, Associate Professor – ECE Department, Delhi Technological University; Dr. Rajveer Yaduvanshi, Associate Professor – ECE Department, Ambedkar Institute of Adv. Comm. Tech. and Research; Dr. Manoj Sharma, Additional Director, SSPL, DRDO; Dr. Devendra Tayal, Associate Professor – CSE Department, IGDTU.

Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson SBIT congratulated the students for their encouraging efforts which one day can become from nascent innovations to a technology to be proud of and at same time, students truly accepted the wise thoughts of the great and renowned speakers.
