Explorica 2015 held at campus

SBIT, Sonepat celebrated its Annual Inter College Cultural and Sports Festival, Explorica 2015 themed Desi Meets Western on 6-7 November, 2015 with great ardor.

Explorica 2015 provided an atmosphere that nurtured students who were encouraged to do what they believe in. The 2 day fest was a blend of cultural, literary and sports events encapsulated with the creativity of students and sponsored by some renowned brands. The fest had 250 students from various colleges across Delhi and Haryana and far beyond. The fest has a diverse spectrum “On stage” and “Off stage” events. There were debates and competitions comprising of dance, music, fashion shows, reconciling to the theme “Desi Meets Western”. It showcased the talent of students and other performances created and ambience which became a show stopper.

On the 2nd day of the fest the cultural segment began with the traditional lighting of lamp, various dances and singing performances.

The occasion was graced by Mr. Harinder Yadav, Deputy Director, Income Tax, Govt. of India as the Chief Guest. Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson-SBIT, Dr. VK Panchal, Director-SBIT appreciated the students for making the fest a huge success. She mentioned that Explorica provided an opportunity for students to unleash their imaginations and show their abilities and skills.

The fest was a big hit as a result rigorous hard work of the core team and the endeavor of the organizing team. The student participation in various competitions spoke of the interest shown and the young minds work diligently to achieve their own success and gain more experience.

On the second day of fest the prize distribution ceremony was carried out thereby felicitating the winners of all the categories. The organizing teams were awarded with trophies and certificates by Mr. Harinder Yadav and Ms. Sushil Yadav.

The students exclaimed that Explorica provided them the change to explore and creative sight to showcase their talents.

To wind off the things, the famous “Jugni Band” gave a marvellous performance that mesmerised one and all. The festival ended on a happy note as “In order to succeed we must believe we can”.
