Ist IEEE National Conference ETET-2012 held at SBIT

SBIT, Sonepat hosted the (two day) First National Conference on Emerging Trends In Engineering and Technology in association with IEEE Student Branch and Delhi Section (IMS-EMBS Chapter), in collaboration with Computer Society of India (CSI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and sponsored by HCL, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as well as Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

The campus came alive with the scholarly luminaries from various universities and fellow Institutes, exchanging their views and thoughts with the faculty. There were 35 Keynote Speaker and invited talks representing top industries, institutes, research organizations. With more than 31 research papers and videos from the various participants comprising of a varied learning and organizing technological papers, giving stimulating experience to the desiring.

The conference enlightened all, emphasizing emerging trends in high tech knowledge, featuring the diverse objectives in engineering by holding several session and exchanging views with various emerging information from the world and scope of technology.

Conference had a different way to impart knowledge to students other than providing them the corporate environment in the form of learning fun activities.
To name some, Gadget Quiz, Code Writing in C, E-Collage Making and many more.

Mr. Sunil Kapila, Practice Head, Wipro Technologies was the Chief Guest and spoke, “Do not look what you have got but book where you are” focusing on quality and work, also grabbing opportunities in life. While speaking he was emotional and also expressed that ’sans hobbies in youth and reflected on the opportunity on the present day youths to use their time beneficial’.

Dr. V R Singh, Secretary, IEEE Delhi Council, Chairperson, IEEE Delhi Section IMS/EMBS Chapter, Vice President, Ultrasonic Society of India’ graced the occasion as the guest of honor and praised the management, the organizing team and the technical committee for the Journal. He reminded his favorite quote “Nano Bio Envio Technology”. He also said “Twelve lakh students are passing out every year and seventy percent are employed in multinational companies yet they can unleash technology to improve the R & D section in their own country”.
Dr. R C Tyagi, Former Scientist, NASA, USA was the guest of honor and spoke about his varied experience comparing the scientific minds of India and USA.

On the second day the conference was illuminated, by the presence of Dr. Shrikant Ojha,  Coordinator, Joint Cipher Bureau, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India’.  He had been very witty and appreciated the achievements of the Institute to do something new and be able to produce a peer review. The audio talk reviewed that three minds together comprising of all Engineering Branches can do wonderful things. He also said that ’scope and technology go hand in hand to bring about another experience which would become a future technology for all to embrace’; hence development in true sense if they can create live projects for the Institution.

Dr. Ishwar Singh, Director Research at MD University, Rohtak, Haryana said “an extra ordinary effort can resolve and give an unique opportunity to the student to flair in their choice of knowledge and be successful in their chosen profession. He also said “students organization working for conference and other kinds of extracurricular activities can evolve and make them ‘personalities’ for tomorrow.

Dr. Ranjit Singh, Executive Secretary and Programme Director, ISTE at the valedictory session praised the ‘colossal efforts of the management, students and all attending the conference’. At the valedictory session, he was overwhelmed by the conference and praised Ms. Sushil Yadav, ‘Chairperson, SBIT’ for her vision which she had from her predecessor Shri Balwant Ji whose ‘visionary dreams’ had come true.

At the valedictory session Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson, SBIT shared her experience about the quality of one’s life may be shaped by the quality of decisions that taken from career while pursuing the act of being positive while performing his duties. She was also happy for the conference being successful and for the release of the 1st SBIT Journal. She also thanked the patrons, members of advisory board, members of review board who had supported and contributed to the success of the conference.

The students and faculty members expressed their delight while gathering knowledge from various session and key note addresses.
