SBIT Celebrates Engineers day

SBIT celebrated 150th Anniversary of Engineers Day on 15 September 2011. September 15 is celebrated every year in India as Engineer’s Day to commemorate the birthday of the legendary Engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya (1861-1962).

Mr. Prashant Vashishtha, Global Head-Capability Support, Nokia Siemens Networks was the Chief Guest for the event.

Mr. Prashant Vashishtha explained the significance of the occasion. Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr) N S Gill, Head, Department of Computer Science & Applications and Director, University Computer Centre, MDU Rohtak praised the effort of the Institute to celebrate this day and motivated the budding Engineers to contribute in the building of the nation.

On this occasion SBIT Chairperson, Ms. Sushil addressed the budding Engineers and explain them how the engineers can change the life of the society. 

Earlier in the day students had shown keen interest in performing at various levels and competing throughout, in LAN Gaming, Rangoli in Technology, Engineering words poster making,  Technical Quiz were on few to name.

The students were delighted to be an integral part of the day and lauded the forays of winners of the various gaming activities.
