Explorica Held at SBIT
SBIT celebrated its Annual Inter College Cultural and Sports Fest – Explorica 2013 on 15 and 16 November 2013.
The 2-day festival was a blend of cultural, literary and sports events encapsulated with the creativity of the students and sponsored by some renowned brands. The fest had 300 students from 15 colleges across Delhi, Haryana and far beyond. The recreational and cultural fiesta comprised of diverse category of events. There were also competitions comprising of dance, music and fashion shows reconciling to the theme ‘Fest O Beat-Ride the Rhythm’. Explorica showcased the talents of the students and other performances created an ambience which became a show-stopper.
On the second day of the fest, the cultural segment began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, various dance and singing performances.
The occasion was graced by Dr. Chander Shekhar, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Sonepat. He addressed the students and emphasized that the cultural and sports festivals encourage the students to be confident and be able to prosper.
Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson-SBIT, appreciated the students for making the fest a huge success. She mentioned that Explorica provided a huge platform for budding engineers to unleash their spark.
All the winners for various categories and the organizing team were awarded with trophies and certificates by Dr. Chander Shekhar, Ms. Sushil Yadav and Mr Rajesh Yadav.
The students exclaimed that Explorica provided them the chance to explore their creative side to showcase their talent. The stage was set for the youngsters to take over and their performance illuminated every ones heart.
