3rd National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology

SBIT, Sonepat hosted 3rd IEEE National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology on 7-8 Feb 2014 in association with IEEE Student Branch and in collaboration with Computer Society of India (CSI) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student Chapters.

In the Inaugural session Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson, SBIT and all our eminent guests released the 3rd SBIT Journal of Science and Technology. Prof. Jagdish Prasad, Director Research, SBIT thanked the honorable Chief Guest Dr. Gopalasamy Athithan, Director and Outstanding Scientist, SAG, DRDO for his thought provoking address and the esteemed guest Dr. M.M Sharma for sparing his valuable time and for his unflinching support to the institute. He also thanked the patrons, members of advisory board, and members of review board who had supported and contributed to the success of the conference.

The campus came alive with the scholarly luminaries from various universities and fellow Institutes, exchanging their views and thoughts with the faculty. There were several Speakers and Invitee talks representing top industries, institutes, research organizations. With more than 20 Research papers and Videos from the various participants comprising of a varied learning and organizing technological papers, giving stimulating experience to the desiring.

The Conference enlightened all, emphasizing emerging trends in high tech knowledge, featuring the diverse objectives in engineering by holding several session and exchanging views with various emerging information from the world and scope of technology.

Chief Guest, Dr. Gopalasamy Athithan discussed about the importance and objectives associated with the ‘Emerging Trends in Cyber Security’. He said “Secure System is one that does what it is supposed to do (in spite of bad input)” focusing on quality and work, clearing all the major concepts related to Cyber Security.

Various eminent guests adorned the conference with the valuable ‘talks’ and just to name a few:

  • Prof. M. M. Sharma – ‘Former Scientist DRDO’.
  • Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Kapoor – ‘HOD – ECE Department, DTU, Delhi.’
  • Dr. (Dr.) R.K. Soni – ‘Professor, ME Department, DCRUST, Murthal, Sonepat.’

The conference had various Tutorials, Guest Lectures and Workshops on numerous current technologies and the current scenario of the world of science and technology, to name a few: a lecture on Object Tracking was given by Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Kapoor, a lecture on Automobile Engineering and Automobile Testing was delivered by Prof.(Dr.) R. K. Soni and many more.

India Vidhyarthi delivered a Guest Lecture with Leadership Issues being the focus point whereas M/s Multisoft conducted a Workshop on “Android”.

The students and faculty members expressed their delight while gathering knowledge from various sessions and key note addresses.
