4th National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology
SBIT, Sonepat organized the two day 4th IEEE National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology ETET-2015 in the campus on 6-7 February 2015. The Conference was organized in association with IEEE Student Branch under Delhi Section in collaboration with CSI (Computer Society of India) Student Branch and ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) Student Branch.
It was a major conference organized with the objective of bringing together the researchers and from academia working in the area of advanced computing, advances in communication and networks. All the accepted papers in the conference have been published in SBIT Journal of Science and Technology.
In the Conference, some of the great challenges were identified with the new growth platform strategic innovation and leveraging diversity in the exclusive events in technology. Friendly sphere gave insights on ways to create more awareness on learning spirit to the aspired students of engineering.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V. K Panchal, Director – SBIT who revealed the mission and scope of the conference.
Dr. Shrikant Ojha, Director, Joint Cipher Bureau, DRDO who was Chief Guest for the inaugural session spoke about the basic applications in technological education and prominently spoke about the thrust areas of learning and encouraged the students.
Dr. N.S. Gill, Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and Applications, MDU, Rohtak was the hon’ble Guest of Honor for the session, said that aspirations without quality leads to no way. Hence the students need commitment, courage, character and concentration on projects beneficial to the society.
There were various tracks running in parallel for ECE, CSE, ME, Applied Sciences. Numerous workshops, tutorials and guest lecturers were delivered by various well-read professionals from various renowned institutions across the nation.
Valedictory function was held on 2nd day of the conference and Dr. O. P. Verma, Head – Computer Science and Engineering Department, Delhi Technological University was the Chief Guest and he spoke about the role of a conference where sharing the thoughts, seeing the opportunities creating the boundaries where innovations and applications to empower the society and the country.
