7th National Conference ETET-2018 Held in Campus

7th IEEE National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Technology,  ETET-2017 was inaugurated in the campus on 16 February 2018.

As has been the practice, aim of Conference was to provide a common platform for students and academicians to know, share ideas, discuss new developments and finally look at the challenges ahead.

In the Conference, some of the great challenges were identified with the new growth platform strategic innovation and leveraging diversity in the exclusive events in technology. Friendly sphere gave insights on ways to create more awareness on learning spirit to the aspired students of engineering and technology.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. V. K. Panchal, Director – SBIT who revealed the mission and scope of the conference.

Dr. P C Saxena Prof. Emeritus, School of Computer & System Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi who was Chief Guest for the inaugural session talked about the thrust areas of learning and encouraged the students to perform better in their career. Prof (Dr.) R K Garg,  Chairperson, Mechanical Engineering, DCRUST   was the Guest of Honor for the session. They focused as to how aspirations lead to success. They emphasized that students need commitment, courage, character and concentration on projects beneficial to the society.

This Conference had various tracks for ECE, CSE and ME. Numerous workshops and guest lecturers were delivered by various well-read professionals from various renowned institutions across the nation. Some of the distinguished speakers included Dr. Sumit Yadav (Associate Professor – Department of Computer Science, Indra Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women), Dr. Qasim Murtaza (Associate Professor – DTU), Dr. Dinesh Vishwakarma (Associate Professor , Department of Computer Science and Technology,Delhi Technological University), Dr. Dinesh Prasad (Associate Professor – Department of Electronic Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia) and  Dr. Phuldeep (Scientist , DRDO Delhi).

Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson, SBIT congratulated the students for their encouraging efforts which one day can become from nascent innovations to a technology to be proud of.
