Blood Donation Camp 2012
Blood is that fragile scarlet tree we carry within us.
With this belief Shri Balwant Institute of Technology, Sonepat organized a Blood Donation Camp in the Institute’s premises itself.
The Camp was organized in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. C.A Babji Rao, Dean – SBIT and Dr. Jasbeer Singh, Medical Officer at Indian Red Cross Society on October 17, 2012. Around 250 students gathered for donating blood and did show great enthusiasm at the highest level.
Dr. Jasbeer Singh exclaimed that the response was overwhelming and the members of Indian Red Cross Society were also very happy to see the number of students that turn up for the Nobel cause.
Koshish – The Social Club of SBIT needs to be applauded for their imperial pantomime in organizing blood donation camp in the Institute. Students as a whole expressed that it was an indeed a great occasion to be a part of the blood donation camp which had been a great success. Students always look for such camps to be organized in the Institute which increases their confidence and motivates them to serve the nation.
This is not the first time that the institute has organized a Blood Donation Camp in campus. The Koshish has been extremely active in organizing several such camps in the past too where students and other members of the institute have come forward to donate blood.
The Institute also encourages young Indians above the age of 18 to donate blood. Donating blood is a social responsibility and it is a healthy practice too.
