Dr Harsh Vardhan as Chief Guest at Quiz Whizz 2016

Shri Balwant Institute of Technology (SBIT), Sonepat (NCR Delhi) in association with Montfort School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi organized 5th Edition of Quiz Whizz on 21 Oct 2016. Quiz Whizz is one of the biggest Annual Inter School Quiz Competitions conducted in NCR Delhi with the aim being to provide future professionals a platform where they shall be able to showcase their skill through fun and learning combination of events.

An overwhelming response was received from more than 75 various Schools from NCR Delhi including Delhi Public School Rohini, Bal Bharati Public School Dwarka, Modern School Barakhambha, St. Francais De Sales School Janakpuri, Hansraj Model School Punjabi Bagh, Little Angels Sr. Sec. School – Sonepat participating in the Inter School Round.

The Grand Finale was organized on the same day and it saw the winners battle it out for the top honours with great enthusiasm. The Winner for this year contest was Team from DPS School, Rohini comprising of Palash Taneja and S. Aditya followed by Team from Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh and DLDAV School as 1st and 2ndRunners Up respectively.

Chief Guest for the day, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Honble Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Govt. of India congratulated the winners for outstanding performance and showcasing their skills. He spoke about the role of Technology in growth of a nation and emphasized that the present crop of students would be at the helm of things few years down the line and hence they need to keep themselves abreast with the technological growth taking place around us.

Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson – SBIT inspired the students to be creative and unique as they have been during various stages of the event.

The enthusiastic participation from various prestigious institutions reiterated that the learning through quizzing is indeed a pleasure and goes beyond the traditional ways of any kind of learning. The participants got an opportunity to interact with one another and were able to add to their own skills in this journey towards becoming acknowledged leaders of tomorrow.
