Engineers Day 2014 Celebrated in Campus

SBIT carried forward its legacy of celebrating Engineer’s Day on September 15, 2014 by witnessing a  spectacular display of talent by the young engineers of SBIT.

In India, we celebrate this day in honor of Sri M Visvesvarya, who was internationally recognized for his genius in harnessing water resources in Southern India. He also was the recipient of Highest Civilian Award in India, Bharat Ratna in 1955.

Engineer’s Day was celebrated with great fervour to showcase the talent of young engineers budding in  SBIT. A day when all the students irrespective of their respective specialisations think and work like an engineer, for the development of their nation, their institute, their parents and then in the end if something retards, then for themselves.Mr. & Ms. Engineer, LAN Gaming, Robotics Quiz, Perfect Programmer, Technical Love Letter Contest,  and some fun events were lined up for students in the campus. The main attraction of the Day ‘Gadget Quiz” saw Tejas Singh and Gagan Malhotra emerging as the winners.

The whole Institute seemed to be buzzing around with fun and frolic throughout the day. Ms. Sushil Yadav, Chairperson-SBIT along with Mr. Rajesh Yadav, Vice Chairman-SBIT and with Prof. Jagdish Prasad, Director (Research) – SBIT acknowledged the laurels to the winners.

Madame Chairperson Ms. Sushil Yadav, SBIT also in her address congratulated the whole organizing team for leaving such an impetus.

A talented mind should always be enlightened and the enlightenment would only be by an applause. But just praising does not fulfill the motive, what fulfills it is an appraisal which beautifies the work and an acknowledgement which increases another feather to the kitty.

With these words the curtain was down for such an absorbing day.
