Explorica 2012 held at Campus

SBIT, Sonepat organized its Annual Inter College Cultural and Sports Fest – Explorica 2012, a two day parody on 2^nd and 3^rd of November comprising of paranomical cultural events with some freaking fun zone events. Explorica provides a platform for young engineering minds to participate and exhibit their talents in various events.

This Recreational and Cultural Caricature tries to cover much diversified category of events for the students of different interests, the fest is basically divided into three categories – Cultural, Sports and Fun Zone which is further bifurcated into various sub categories, such as Abrax, Electro Cuted, Dramatics, Minute to Win It and many more exulting assortment of more than 40 events has been gone through.

Cultural zone had all the events of singing, dancing, battle of bands and the creative tinch to it is given by the events like Poster Making, Face Painting, Tattoo Making and many more. Literally events are also lined up in under the category of ‘So you think you can speak’ such as Spell Bee, Extempore, Debate, Mock Parliament and an ongoing list. The punch line development, the case development, business plan, logo-ism from the management zone was to compete among the Management skills of the students. Of all of them all, Fun Zone was filled with all the witty events like Treasure Hunt, Follow your Trail, Anti Chess, Wheel Barrow and much more for the Fun Freaks.

Dr. Suprabha Dahiya – Commissioner Rohtak Zone was the Chief Guest for the evening, along with Dr. Ruhi Paul – Asst. Professor, National Law University, as Guest of Honour.

The fest was a big hit as a result of rigorous hard work of the core team and the endeavor of the organizing team and was embedded with the patronage of the following fixtures and companies, to name them, Nokia – Title Sponsor, Multisoft, Punjab Machine Tools, Bhargava’s Music, Prime Aerosols and The Union Bank of India were the benevolent sponsors who extended their support to make the fest a grand success.

More than 150 students from around 25 institutions from Delhi, NCR, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan participated in various obtrusive cultural and freaking fun zone events in this two day technical crusade with much enthusiasm and went to the learning with fun.

On the second day of the technical parody the prize distribution ceremony was done along with some entertainment events, marking the relieve for the rigorous hard work by the team and marking a captivating end of the technical caricature and to add to the fun, a fashion parade was organized.

Dr. Dahiya in her address focused to be more progressive in organizing things and events like this in the institute, so that much more leadership skills are developed. Her onus drew towards the importance of the Extra – Curricular along with the academics.

Madame Chairperson Ms. Sushil Yadav, SBIT also in her address congratulated the whole organizing team of Explorica for leaving such an impetus cultural caricature.

The theme of the fest was Futuristica, as the name suggests, it drove us into the future. That may be of India, of you, of me, of world or of anything. The USP of the Fest – a Laser Show that took all through the mixture of emotions and future with the help of the beam of lights only, the enthralling curtain down was done with the rhapsodic and fantastic show – Rhapsodity Predefined – The Laser Show.

The students and faculty members expressed their delight while gathering knowledge from various events.
